It was 5th July,1916 when Maharshi Karve had founded the SNDT Women’s University, the first and the only unique Women’s University in India. On the occasion of Foundation Day Ceremony of S.N.D.T. Women’s University, the S.N.D.T. College of Education, Pune had organized a Tree Plantation Program. The Pro. Vice Chancellor Dr. Vishnu Magare had been the Chief Guest for the function. The Principal Dr.Nalini Patil welcomed the guest. During this function on Pune Campus of the University various Principals, Heads, Professors, Office Employee and students were present and the all contributed in planting 50 trees. The office bearers representatives and volunteers of Rotary Club of Shanivarwada, Prizam Foundation and Manav Mitra Foundation had actively participated in the program.
